Upcoming Ponhook Lake tournament Posted on June 3, 2018

Good day folks, Our first tournament is just around the corner, on Sunday June 11th we visit Ponhook Lake in Queens county, sponsored by Macpherson's Fly & Tackle in Liverpool and our title sponsor, Mahone Marine. Launching from the Ponhook Lodge Campground, we would like to thank Ted Wamboldt for allowing us to use their location for our venue. Please be sure to support the campground when and where possible.
Here are some of the administrative details prior to the tournament:
- Since we are guests at the Ponhook Lodge Campground, I would ask that you refrain from entering past the gates until 5am. Please proceed with trucks and trailers slowly so as not to create additional noise.
- Further to the above, please refrain from starting your outboard motors until after 6:30am.
- Please be sure you have your boat in the water and you have registered by 6:40am so that you are included in the 6:45am boat draw. Late boats will not be entered into the draw.
- Please come with exact change for your tournament entry and membership fees. We will also not accept any entry unless the amount is paid in full, we will not be responsible for collecting the other half of an entry from your partner.
- We will be holding our AGM at 6:30am sharp on the morning of the tournament. We hope that this will be brief in time for our 7am start time.
- The main point of the AGM is the election of the 2017 executive. They have re-offered as follows: •President - Cody Lohnes •Vice-President - Carroll Randall •Scott Wilson - Secretary •Rob Sarty - Treasurer •Paul Wilson - Tournament Director •George Taylor - Social Director
- If anyone wishes to offer for any of the above positions, please contact Carroll Randall (dacara@eastlink.ca) as soon as possible.
- Please respect no fishing zones, in particular, the pool just below the island at the public boat launch above the medway.
- There is a idle only area at the first narrows section of the upper river. This rule has been in affect for SSBM and ABO for several years now.
- The water level is high. As is the case with any lake, please proceed with caution if you are not familiar with the area.
That should be all folks. Look forward to seeing you on June 11th and hopefully some new faces too!
